Memorial Day held 54 degree weather for Utah. With the promise of rain. With snow still blanketing the mountains. Not okay.Traditionally it's the day the Swanson family opens their pool for the summer. Not to be deterred, Grammie Swanson heated the pool to steaming hot tub-like warmth. Needless to say, she made a lot of grandchildren very, very happy.

Our neighbors have this tree that I love. I don't know what kind it is. I wish I did so I could plant one in my yard. When it is in bloom, I can't stop looking at it. As much as I love it, my husband loves it more. This year, since he is not here to see it bloom, I couldn't help but take a picture for his sake.

I am not very good with the big day photos (holidays and birthdays), but even if I was I wouldn't have been able to capture one here, at Chuck E Cheese. He spent his time, terrified and on my shoulder. Large, creepy animals that speak frighten him.

It has rained (or worse) almost every day this past month or so. My kids have adapted quite well to seizing the moment of clear sky and playing out in the wet grass, even if that clear sky only lasts an hour, we will take it and love it.

My mom loves quilting. My sister in laws and I took her to the quilt expo today. I saw this quilt and fell in love. It's just so happy. So I thought I would capture it, as well as my family and the quilt's creator in an awkward photo moment to share with you.
